Marwa Atik
Marwa is an LA-based, content creator, visual storyteller, creative entrepreneur, and co-founder of her fashion-forward scarf brand VELA.
A first-generation Syrian, born and raised in LA, Marwa co-founded her company VELA at the age of 18; creating fashion-forward hijabs which were not a mainstream offering. Since funneling her creative perspective into the market and being marked as one of the most influential Muslim style figures; Atik has become a forefront spokeswoman on contemporary modesty and embracing personal beauty.
Marwa focuses her platform on building within her community of women and empowering them through fashion and beauty. Throughout the last decade of building a successful brand, Atik is passionate about advocating for social justice, breaking barriers, and committed to authentic storytelling while working with brands she loves.
